London Wildlife Trust – Leading nature recovery across the capital
Established in 1981, London Wildlife Trust is the only charity dedicated solely to protecting wildlife and wild spaces across the capital. We stand as London's primary voice for nature, managing 36 nature reserves and engaging more than 12,000 children annually through our award-winning education programmes. Approximately one million visitors experience the wonder of nature at our sites each year.
As part of a federation of 46 autonomous Wildlife Trusts across the UK, we benefit from a powerful collaborative movement whilst maintaining our independence and local focus. Our trading subsidiary, London Wildlife Limited, generates approximately £2 million annually through cafes and event hire, directly supporting our conservation mission. With an annual income of circa £8 million and strong unrestricted reserves, we're in an excellent financial position to deliver our ambitious vision.

We've recently launched an ambitious new strategy that positions London Wildlife Trust at the forefront of urban conservation. This bold vision encompasses transformative projects that will reshape London's relationship with nature for generations to come.
Leading once-in-a-generation projects including beaver and white stork reintroductions, landscape-scale rewilding initiatives, and comprehensive river restoration programmes that will transform London's ecosystems.
Rapidly expanding our public profile through high-impact collaborations, media partnerships, and educational initiatives that connect Londoners with the natural world on their doorstep.
Forging significant relationships with corporate and governmental partners, including our major partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis Club and landmark urban regeneration projects like the wetlands at Grosvenor Square.
Grosvenor Square in Mayfair is being radically redesigned into a major public green space and wildlife‑friendly urban garden. This redevelopment is the largest private investment in public green space in the West End for a generation.
